French police use tear fuel towards followers on Champs-Elysees in Paris: Report


PARIS: French police used tear fuel to disperse crowds of followers who gathered on the Champs-Elysees in Paris after their nationwide workforce’s defeat on the 2022 World Cup remaining in Qatar, Russian state-owned information company RIA Novosti reported on Sunday.
On Sunday, Argentina defeated France 4-2 on penalties, following a 3-3 draw after additional time, and gained the World Cup for the third time.
Police used tear fuel to disperse followers on the Champs-Elysees in Paris as they continued to pelt firecrackers at legislation enforcers , RIA Novosti reported.
Some followers clashed with cops after the latter began detaining violent individuals.
Individuals have been gathering on the Champs-Elysees even earlier than the beginning of the World Cup remaining. Police blocked visitors on the website and close to the Arc de Triomphe.
Hundreds of cops have been patrolling the French capital on Sunday night, the Russian company stated.
Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron consoled a visibly distraught French soccer workforce after their loss within the nerve-wracking FIFA World Cup remaining to Lionel Messi-led Argentina on Sunday.
