Gaganyaan: Key parachutes deployment checks on rail tracks performed

BENGALURU: Isro late on Monday (Mar 6) mentioned it carried out the “Rail Monitor Rocket Sled” deployment checks of the Gaganyaan pilot (small auxiliary chutes) and apex cowl separation (ACS) parachutes in cluster configurations on the Terminal Ballistics Analysis Laboratory (TBRL) between March 1 and three.
“The primary take a look at simulated the clustered deployment of two pilot parachutes. One parachute was subjected to a minimal angle with respect to circulate circumstances and the second parachute was subjected to a most angle with respect to circulate. These pilot parachutes are used within the Gaganyaan mission to extract and deploy the principle parachutes independently,” Isro mentioned.
