United States secretary of state Antony Blinken mentioned in an interview on Monday that the battle in Ukraine would finish “nearly actually with diplomacy” and negotiations, and that “simply and sturdy peace” was wanted.
“That the end result needs to be a simply and sturdy peace – one can agree with this. However as for the prospects for some type of negotiations, we don’t see any in the meanwhile,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov advised reporters.
He added that to ensure that talks to occur with potential companions, Russia would wish to fulfil the targets of its “particular army operation”.
