Sankar Muthusamy seals ultimate spot at BWF World Junior Championships | Badminton Information

SANTANDER (Spain): India’s Sankar Muthusamy on Saturday booked his place within the males’s U-19 singles ultimate with a scientific straight-game win over Thailand’s Panitchaphon Teeraratsakul on the BWF World Junior Championships.
Seeded fourth within the event, Muthusamy confirmed nice athleticism and tactical acumen to outwit Teeraratsakul 21-13, 21-15 in a 40-minute semifinal.
He’ll tackle the winner of the opposite semifinal between Chinese language Taipei’s Kuo Kuan Lin and Korea’s Byung Jae Kim within the summit conflict on Sunday.

Within the event historical past, India has to this point gained a gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze medals with Lakshya Sen bagging the final medal, a bronze, in 2018.
London Olympics bronze medallist Saina Nehwal is the one Indian to win the junior world championship title.
