Ukraine dismisses Russian ceasefire declaration as ‘propaganda’


KYIV: Ukraine on Thursday rejected Russia’s declaration of a ceasefire over Orthodox Christmas as “hypocrisy” and “propaganda”, Ukrainian presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak stated on Thursday.
Russia “should go away the occupied territories — solely then will it have a ‘short-term truce’. Preserve hypocrisy to your self,” Podolyak wrote on Twitter in response to the Kremlin announcement.
“This can be a full propaganda gesture and nothing extra,” Podolyak stated in a separate assertion.

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday ordered a short lived ceasefire in Ukraine on Orthodox Christmas, celebrated this week by each international locations, in line with the Kremlin.
